Supporting Parents to Lead Calm, Confident Families

Welcome!

As a parent, you carry the weight of your child’s needs, family dynamics, and the pressure to ‘get it right.’ I help parents and caregivers navigate these challenges with confidence, clarity, and calm. My work focuses on you, not the child, so you can develop practical strategies, emotional resilience, and mindful parenting habits that create lasting change in your family

What I Can Help You With

Our children will do things that trigger us. It is our job to process those triggers, not expect our child to change, in order to avoid triggering us.

  • Managing Stress & Overwhelm: Learn how to regulate your own nervous system so you can respond rather than react.

  • Parenting with Confidence: Move past guilt, second-guessing, or fear of “getting it wrong.”

  • Supporting Challenging Behaviours: Understand why children act out and how your responses can shift the dynamic.

  • Creating Calm & Connection: Practical tools to foster respect, cooperation, and emotional safety at home.

  • Setting Boundaries: Develop strategies that are firm but compassionate, empowering both you and your child.

  • Building Mindful Routines: Integrate mindfulness, reflection, and grounding practices into your family’s everyday life.

  • Preparing Teens for Independence: Coaching older children/teens in self-regulation and decision-making while you lead with clarity.

I work with the parent first. By supporting you, your child’s environment naturally shifts. You don’t need to control or ‘fix’ your child, you learn how to lead your family with calm, confidence, and clarity. Together, we create a home where the right choices are easier to make.

Parent of an 8-year-old

“Working with Trish changed our whole family dynamic. I came because my child was anxious, and trying to get him to school was a nightmare, but what I didn’t realise was how much I needed support too. I was exhausted! I learned how to stay calm instead of reacting, and that alone shifted everything at home. My child is more settled, going to school is easier, and I feel like I can finally breathe out. I may still be tired but I know I am allowed to replenish. Make myself a priority.”

Parent of a tween

“I tried everything, literally everything to help my boy, from parenting books, strategies from school, all kinds of things. Trish helped me understand what was actually happening underneath the behaviour, and gave me tools I could use in real life, not just in theory. I could see where I was being triggered and adding to it all, escalating situations. The change wasn’t overnight, but it was deep and lasting. Our home feels calmer and more connected.”

Parent of a teenager

“This work was a turning point for us. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and constantly worried and stressed out. I went for the family package and support. I'm a single parent and so I've never had any support before. So this was invaluable. Through the sessions I learned how to set boundaries without guilt and support my daughter without always trying to rescuing them. I could get in touch with Trish via WhatsApp which helped no end. My confidence as a parent has grown, and my relationship with her feels stronger and more respectful.”

Age 15

“Before working with Trish, my anxiety felt like it controlled everything. I was always overthinking, my mind would spiral out of control and didn’t know how to calm myself down. The sessions helped me understand what was going on inside me and gave me ways to feel safe in my body again. I feel like I am able to do life if that makes sense. I'm more confident, and get less overwhelmed at the smallest of things, and like I can handle things better now.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these sessions for my child or for me?

This work is primarily for you as the parent or caregiver. Rather than working directly with your child, we focus on supporting you, your nervous system, responses, boundaries, and confidence. When a parent feels calmer and clearer, children naturally respond to that shift.

Do you work with children at all?

In most cases, the coaching is parent-focused. However, depending on age, needs, and the situation, yes. Some packages may include guided support or tools for children or teens, with your consent and involvement. This is always discussed and agreed together.

My child has challenging behaviour — will this actually help?

Yes. Challenging behaviour is often a signal, not a problem to fix. We explore what’s driving the behaviour and how small but powerful changes in your responses can transform the dynamic at home. Parents are often surprised by how quickly things shift when they feel more regulated and confident.

I feel like I’ve tried everything. How is this different?

Many parents come feeling exhausted, guilty, or stuck in cycles of reacting. This work focuses on:

* Nervous system regulation (yours first)

* Working with & re-integrating the parts of you who are struggling

* Understanding behaviour through connection, not control

It’s practical, supportive, and designed to fit real family life, not another parenting method to “get right.”

What is parts and shadow work?

Parts and shadow work is a therapeutic process that helps you meet the hidden or dissociated parts of yourself that formed in response to past experiences. These parts, often inner children, babies, teens, or fragmented adult selves, developed coping strategies that may no longer serve you. In sessions, we compassionately uncover these parts, listen to their needs, and integrate them, maturing them up to the here and now, so you can live with more wholeness, clarity, and freedom.

How do I know if this is right for me?

If you have tried everything else but you still find yourself repeating patterns, feeling stuck, sabotaging your goals, or carrying heavy emotions such as shame, guilt, or anger, then this work is for you. It’s for people who sense that old wounds or unhealed experiences are quietly running the show, and who are ready to face them with support.

What happens in a session?

Each session is guided, intuitive, and tailored to you. We’ll use dialogue, embodiment, visualisation, and gentle inquiry to bring hidden parts of yourself into awareness. You’ll be supported to process emotions safely and begin reintegrating those parts into your adult self. Every session ends with grounding practices so you leave feeling contained and supported.

Do I need to re-live my trauma?

No. I don't guide you to re-live painful experiences. Instead, you gently connect with the parts of you that carry the memory, emotions, beliefs and behaviour that no longer serves you. The focus is on healing, understanding, and integrating, not re-traumatising.

Where are the sessions held?

All sessions are held via Zoom

How many sessions will I need?

Every person is different. Some people feel a big shift after just one or two sessions, while others benefit from ongoing work to explore multiple layers. Lasting change happens through consistency and integration, which is why short courses or term-time packages can be particularly effective. We’ll discuss your needs together and you can choose the pace that feels right for you.

Do you work with parents of teens as well as younger children?

Yes. I support parents of young children, tweens, and teenagers. With teens, the work often focuses on communication, boundaries, emotional regulation, and preparing them for independence, while you stay calm and clear in your role.

Is this suitable if my child has additional needs or anxiety?

Yes. The approach is inclusive and adaptable, and many parents I work with have children experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or are neuro-spicey. Supporting the parent’s regulation and confidence is especially impactful in these situations.

What makes this different from traditional talking therapy?

This isn’t traditional talk therapy. It’s a deep, embodied process that draws on psychology, shadow work, trauma-informed practices, and guided self-discovery. Instead of just analysing your story, we work directly with the parts of you carrying old wounds and patterns. The work is always done at your pace, you’re fully in control, and the space is held with safety, respect, and zero judgement. Many clients describe it as intense, liberating, and far more direct than anything they’ve tried before.

What happens in a typical session?

Sessions are conversational, supportive, and practical. We:

* Explore what’s currently challenging

* Identify patterns and pressure points

* Reconnect and reintegrate with the parts of you that are lost

* Build strategies you can use immediately

* Strengthen your confidence and clarity as a parent

You’ll leave with insight and tools you can apply straight away.
